In this lesson, you’ll learn to play in the key of A in DADGAD, using the Celtic and bluegrass favorite “Red-Haired Boy.” “Red-Haired Boy” mostly uses the A Mixolydian scale which has the same notes as D major, so DADGAD is a great tuning for playing in A Mixolydian. In this video, Doug shows you chords and scales in the key of A major and A Mixolydian.
