Sweet Georgia Brown, Part 1: Chords and Rhythm

“Sweet Georgia Brown” was written in 1925 and went on to become one of the most popular of all jazz standards, played by musicians in nearly all styles of jazz. “Sweet Georgia Brown” is commonly played in the keys of F or G. You’ll learn it in the key of F, but all the voicings are closed, so if you find yourself in a jam where they’re playing it in G, you can simply move everything up two frets to play in G.
