“Kissing Is a Crime” is a particularly fun Maybelle Carter lead to play. It’s a little more complicated than usual, probably because there are more notes and words in the song, and Maybelle includes some chromatic passing notes in her solo. (Note: Cathy adds an extra measure of G7 while teaching the solo to “Kissing Is a Crime,” but this is not normally the way it’s played. When singing, she sometimes wants the extra breathing time. The sheet music, Play-Along Track, and performance video are all correct.)
