Chord Scales: Week Two |
This week, Ethan talks about voice leading, and how to make your lines flow smoothly from one chord to the next. One way to think about it is to “voice-lead” to a specific note in the chord you’re moving to. He gives you an example of how he would voice-lead to the root of every chord in a I–IV–V progression in G and then gives you exercises voice-leading to the third and fifth of each chord.
