Right or Wrong, Part 2: “Sock” Chords

Homer Haynes was the “Homer” of Homer and Jethro and a great rhythm guitarist as well as humorous foil to mandolinist Jethro Burn. He played a kind of percussive “sock” chord style with close voicings that work particularly well for dominant-seventh chords in a circle-of-fifths progression, as in “Right or Wrong.” In this video, you’ll learn to play “Right Or Wrong” with the kind of “sock” chords that Homer Haynes played.
