Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door
Bob Dylan wrote “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” for the 1973 film Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. It has been covered numerous times, by U2, the Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton, and others. It’s in the key of G, and uses G, C, D, and Am chords. Adrianne shows you a couple variations on the Am and C chords you can play: an Am7, which you get by lifting up your ring finger, and a C with your pinky on the third fret of the first string. She also shows you the strum pattern Bob Dylan uses, but you can also play a simpler down down down down-up pattern.
